Hi, I'm Emily.
I'm a writer, editor, photographer and creative communications professional working in the not-for-profit sector. I collaborate with social entrepreneurs, brands and businesses, government agencies and NGOs to create beautiful, thought-provoking content that inspires long-term stakeholder engagement and meaningful social change.
I have 8+ years' experience in creative non-fiction writing and custom publishing – including 3 years as the assistant editor of a major print publication – plus 3 years' combined experience working in the NGO sector (in Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Laos and Timor-Leste), primarily in the fields of fair trade and cultural asset-based development, and most recently in public health and human rights. I hold a master's degree in Communication for Social Change and a bachelor's degree in Art History and Journalism.
I love learning, and I consider myself a bit of a communications all-rounder. Over the past few years I've taken the opportunity to develop my skills in content marketing, SEO, photography, graphic design, coding – and even teaching English as a second language. I am always experimenting and refining my skills through my own website, Wander-Lush.
I am currently based in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Traditional textiles and crafts (especially weaving); Fair Trade; ethical fashion; architecture and design; travel for cultural immersion.
